What are the qualifying amounts to finance with Smart Financing?

Your customers may qualify for Smart Financing on products and services ranging from $2,000 up to $25,000. With our easy-to-use application, you can walk customers through the application process and get started on their project same-day. What is the maximum amount to qualify for Smart Financing?

What products and services qualify for Smart Financing?

Alabama Power offers financing for a wide range of products and services from HVAC units and water heaters to Smart Home upgrades and duct installation, your business is sure to offer some Smart Financing services. For a complete list of services, check out our Get Financing page.

Is Smart Financing only available to Alabama Power customers?

Smart Financing is available to anyone if the project address is in Alabama. If your client is already an Alabama Power customer, the account holder or responsible party for the account must apply as an applicant or co-applicant. Additionally, if a legal Power of Attorney is involved, your customer must submit the POA document to a Smart Financing provider before making an application.

Can the customer apply for financing before they have received an estimate?

Customers can apply for financing before or after receiving an estimate from you. Many customers wish to speak with you personally about the service. However, others may choose to view their financing opportunities before you arrive with the Smart Financing pre-approval process. Either way, you’ll be notified of any customer using Smart Financing, along with a breakdown of what, where, and most importantly, when you’re getting paid for the job.

Can the customer apply with a co-applicant?

Yes. If your customer wants to apply with a co-applicant, remind them that they need a valid email address to apply, must be 19 years of age, and that either themselves or their co-applicant must be the homeowners designated on the deed. Additionally, if they’re upgrading a mobile home with Smart Financing, the applicant must own the mobile home and land associated with the project.

Is there a paper option for Smart Financing?

As a key player in your business, we understand you don’t have time to spare. That’s why Smart Financing is fully digital, so you can spend less time organizing files and more time growing your business. How can I check the status of a customer’s financing agreement?

In your Dealer portal, you’ll find organized dashboards for each customer so that you can monitor orders, services, and transactions. The designated administrator for your account will have access to all your financing agreements and can check the status of those agreements at any time—day or night.

Will I have a designated sales rep as a partner of Smart Financing?

Yes, Smart Financing is proud to offer each dealer a dedicated regional sales representative to help trains and guide you through the process. They are available to answer any questions you may have along the way!

Will APC generate any customer leads for their dealer partners?

Yes, active dealers in good standing with the platform will populate in our Find a Dealer search. Dealers are randomly assorted based on products and location entered by the customer’s search and any search could generate a lead for your business.

As a certified dealer, how will I know if a customer has been pre-approved?

A code will be generated.
